old school Grand Prix motorcycle racing: 1988 U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca Part 1

Check this out.  This is what World Grand Prix motorcycle racing used to be like with 125cc, 250cc and 500cc competition, long before the days of MotoGP.  Highlighted in four parts, will be the 1988 U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca which (as a track), had just been redone and brought up to spec, nearly 25 years ago.  This race will be shown in four parts (four consecutive blog entries), just to give readers a taste of what Grand Prix motorcycle racing used to be like before the modern MotoGP era.  There will be more of these historic motorcycle races in the future to check out on this blog.
