In the Moto 2 race, it was Spaniard Nico Terol for Aspar Team Moto2 taking the victory over countryman Tito Rabat.  Spaniards swept the podium, as Pol Espargaro, winner of the previous Moto 2 race, rounded out the podium.  Championship points leader Scott Redding finished fourth.  Takaaki Nakagami and a few other key riders, finished outside the top ten.  Among the retirements were Alex De Angelis, Anthony West, Simone Corsi, Tom Luthi, Xavier Simeon, and Steven Odendaal.
