In Moto 2 action at Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo, Johann Zarco was the race winner, followed on the podium by Alex Rins, and Sam Lowes. Mika Kallio and Franco Morbidelli, completed the top five. In positions six through ten, it was Tom Luthi, Sandro Cortese, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Jonas Folger, and Hafizh Syahrin. 28 of 30 riders finished, which is a good percentage of the field. Only Louis Rossi and Simone Corsi, failed to see the checkered flag.

In Moto 3 action in Argentina, Danny Kent, scored his second straight race win, after also winning the previous weekend in Austin, Texas, at Circuit of the Americas. Efren Vazquez, and Miguel Oliveira, completed the podium, while Fabio Quartararo, and John McPhee, rounded out the top five places. In sixth through tenth, it was, (in order), Alexis Masbou, Romano Fenati, Karel Hanika, Jorge Navarro, and Niccolo Antonelli.
All 34 riders who started, were classified at the finish.
