Moto 2 & Moto 3 Italy

In the races for the junior formulas at Mugello, the Moto 2 event was won by Tito Rabat over Johann Zarco and a surprising Dominique Aegerter, who finished in third, on the last step of the podium.  Completing the top five were the rapid Sam Lowes (who already has a Moto 2 win this year), and Luis Salom.  In positions six through ten, were Xavier Simeon, Julian Simon, Sandro Cortese, Axel Pons, and the rapid Lorenzo Baldassari, another rider, who has already won in Moto 2 this year.

Twenty four motorcycles finished this race, with retirements from Hafizh Syahrin, Jonas Folger, Simone Corsi, Franco Morbidelli, and some heavy hitters... Mika Kallio, and Thomas Luthi.  One rider, did not even complete a lap.  Wildcard Malaysian entrant, Zaqhwan Zaidi.
