This is Yamaha's fifth Suzuka triumph, and their first, amazingly, in almost 20 years.  The last time they won at Suzuka, was in 1996 with riders who would become real stars of World Superbike and MotoGP... Colin Edwards, and Noriyuki Haga on a Yamaha YZF750 in the old days of the 750cc sport bikes.

Moto 2 rider, Dominique Aegerter, shared a Honda for Japan's FCC TSR Honda team with Australian rider, Josh Hook.  Aegerter and Hook, finished second, behind the trio of Espargaro, Smith, and Nakasuga.
