In Moto 2 action from Assen during the Dutch TT weekend, it was a surprise win for Australia's Anthony West on his Speed Up bike, ahead of Maverick Vinales and Mika Kallio.

Johann Zarco and Alex de Angelis completed the top five, with Tom Luthi, Julian Simon, Tito Rabat, Lorenzo Baldassari, and Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin, completing the top ten. 29 bikes finished the race, with Sandro Cortese, Randy Krummenacher, Sam Lowes, Axel Pons, and Azlan Shah, the unclassified finishers.
In Moto 3 action, to start things off, there was a crash on the last turn of the last lap of the race!

Alex Marquez won the race, another reason for the Marquez family to celebrate, seeing both brothers win.

Alex Rins and Miguel Oliviera finished on the podium. Alexis Masbou and Niccolo Antonelli rounded out the top five, with the second ten comprised of Efren Vazquez, Isaac Vinales, Danny Kent, Brad Binder, and John McPhee. Some of the other top riders had lackluster races, including those who fell out like Jack Miller, Niklas Ajo, and the man who finished caboose on the field... Enea Bastianini.
The next races for Moto 2 and Moto 3 will be in Germany at the Sachsenring, as we reach the halfway mark in the 2014 season, coming up in two weeks.
