In Moto 2 action at Jerez, Jonas Folger took his first victory in the class, ahead of Johann Zarco and Tito Rabat, who also finished on the podium. Completing the top five were Tom Luthi and Xavier Simeon. Sixth through tenth place went to, in order... Franco Morbidelli, Luis Salom, Simone Corsi, Alex Marquez, and Marcel Schrotter. 26 motorcycles and riders, finished the race, with four unclassified runners, including Mika Kallio, Sandro Cortese, Ricard Cardus, and Axel Pons.

Meanwhile, Danny Kent continued his dominance in Moto 3, winning, I believe, his third consecutive event, ahead of Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder. Ever improving riders Fabio Quartararo and Efren Vazquez completed the top five in Moto 3, while sixth through tenth places went to Romano Fenati, Francesco Bagnaia, Jorge Navarro, Enea Bastianini, and John McPhee.
27 bikes finished the race, and there was a somewhat high attrition rate which included Philip Oettl, Jakub Kornfeil, Hiroki Ono, Alessandro Tonucci, Niccolo Antonelli, Gabriel Rodrigo, and Maria Herrera.
