Marco Melandri rode his factory Aprilia to a sweep of both FIM World Superbike races at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Jerez, Spain, this past weekend.

Time is of the essence in World Superbike. Just two races are left in the season to determine the champions. The penultimate race of the season takes place in Magny Cours, France at the Circuit de Nevers, and will take place in less than a month, the first weekend in October.
