Maverick Vinales won the Moto 2 race at Aragon in Spain, with Tito Rabat second, and Johann Zarco in third. Tom Luthi and Franco Morbidelli completed the top five. In sixth through tenth places it was Dominique Aegerter, followed by Mika Kallio, Jordi Torres, Sam Lowes, and Marcel Schrotter. 30 of 34 bikes finished the Moto 2 race. Veterans Anthony West and Xavier Simeon were retirements, as were American wildcard rider Kenny Noyes and Axel Pons.

In the Moto 3 race at Aragon, Romano Fenati got to the checkered flag first. He was followed home by Alex Marquez and Danny Kent. Alex Rins and Jakub Kornfeil, completed the top five. In sixth through tenth, it was the ever improving Enea Bastianinni, Miguel Oliviera, Brad Binder, Niccolo Antonelli, and Alexis Masbou. All these riders, are improving. 27 bikes finished the race. But the attrition rate in Moto 3 was higher.
The retirements included John McPhee, Andrea Migno, Philipp Oettl, Jorge Navarro, Alessandro Tonucci, Juanfran Guevara, and Scott Deroue. Matteo Ferrari was caboose on the field, after he didn't even start the race.
#5 Romano Fenati ITA. KTM
Four races remain in Moto 2 and Moto 3 as well as MotoGP. The teams will return to Europe and to Spain for the season finale in November. But, the next three races, will on the Pacific Rim in Asia, and Australia. Japan is the next one, at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Motegi, Japan, coming up in two weeks.
