Moto 2 & Moto 3: Great Britain

Marc VDS Racing had a 1-2 sweep in the Moto 2 race at Silverstone.  After not winning for a while, Esteve "Tito" Rabat, took victory followed home by team mate, Mika Kallio.  Rounding out the podium was Maverick Vinales.  The rest of the top ten included Johann Zarco, Tom Luthi, Franco Morbidelli, Sam Lowes, Hafizh Syahrin, Mattia Pasini, and Axel Pons.

30 riders were classified at the end of the race, with four non finishers that included Lorenzo Baldassari, Jonas Folger, Simone Corsi, and Moto 2 veteran Xavier Simeon.

In Moto 3, Alex Rins got back on form and won that race.  Alex Marquez and the rapidly improving Enea Bastianini of Italy, rounded out the podium, with the top ten being completed by Miguel Oliviera, Jakub Kornfeil, Jack Miller, Niccolo Antonelli, Alexis Masbou, Danny Kent, and Niklas Ajo.  29 riders finished the Moto 3 event, with two unclassified.  The two unclassified finishers were Scott Deroue and wildcard Andrea Migno.

Meanwhile, two more riders, didn't event start the race.  Tough luck for Efren Vazquez, who has been at the front of Moto 3 races, and almost won them on some occasions.  He didn't even make it off the line at Silverstone, nor did British wildcard rider, Joe Irving.

Only six races are left on the calendar for 2014.  The next one will be the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit, also known as San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, in Misano, Italy, taking place in less than two weeks.
