Moto 2 & Moto 3: San Marino

In Moto 2 at Misano, Marc VDS Racing scored another 1-2 finish, with Tito Rabat winning, and his team mate, Mika Kallio coming home in second spot.  Johann Zarco for AirAsia Caterham completed the podium finishers, while the rest of the top ten included Maverick Vinales, Tom Luthi, Dominique Aegerter, Franco Morbidelli, Julian Simon, Axel Pons, and Takaaki Nakagami.  32 bikes finished the race in Moto 2 with four unclassified runners including Nico Terol, along with Ricard Cardus, Ricardo Russo, and Czech rider Miroslav Popov, who was caboose on the field.

In the Moto 3 race, Alex Rins beat his Estrella Galicia Honda team mate Alex Marquez to the line.  Aussie standout Jack Miller finished third on his Red Bull Ajo KTM.  Miller, will move to MotoGP next year of course.  Isaac Vinales, Enea Bastianini, Brad Binder, Alexis Masbou, Andrea Migno, Juanfran Guevara, and Efren Vazquez, round out the top ten.

28 bikes were classified at the end of the Moto 3 race.  Retirements included Scott Deroue, Andrea Locatelli, Niklas Ajo, Gabriel Rodrigo, Karel Hanika, Francesco Bagnaia, and Matteo Ferrari.  Next up for the Moto 2 and Moto 3 racers, along with the big boys and the big toys of MotoGP, will be in Aragon, Spain at Motorland Aragon in less than two weeks.
